This is an upcoming story I'm working on. Bobby is in the midst of some overwhelming confusion about his sexuality, his love of his best friend, Tom, and living alone with his Mother, and wondering how the people that make up his world will react when they find out he's gay.
Coming Out...
Chapter One
(Excerpt)
Tom's bedroom hadn't changed much in the past 10 years. His wall was plastered with posters of every conceivable kind. Rock bands, science fiction scenes, a really hot male tennis player, yeah, that one made Bobby wonder now and then, but Tom did love tennis, so it was probably nothing. Still, a shirtless hunk of man in tight white shorts gave him a moment or ten of pause. There seemed to be an accentuation in the guys shorts too...
Bobby sat on his bed and lay back, while Tom locked the door, then leaned against it. “My mom is driving me crazy.”
Bobby grinned. “Again?” He didn't press for more, but knew well enough by now, to let his friend say whatever he had to say.
Tom rolled his eyes, threw his hands up and mad ea good show of pulling his hair out. “God, she's just aaah.” He banged his head against the door and gave Bobby a look.
“Sit, tell me then, I'm listening.” Bobby smiled, and cast a casual glance up and down his friends body. He was wearing jeans, tight ones, and a black t-shirt that hugged his chest beautifully.
“I don't feel like sitting.” Tom's eyes bugged out and he double checked the lock on his door. “I feel like...” He sat down on the bed anyway. “I dunno, doing something... wild.”
Bobby nodded. I'd love to do something wild, he thought. But if I do it'll be true. “Like what?” He had some ideas of his own, but of course he'd never act on them. Chicken shit that he was.
Tom looked into Bobby's eyes. “I dunno I said. Just something.” He was definitely acting a little strange. Stranger than normal, that is. He had been this way before. Bobby sort of knew what was happening, but since he'd always found an excuse to leave when it did... Tommy slid one hand under his head and the other had gotten very close to Bobby's thigh.
No movement, no sounds for what seemed like forever...
